1. Paddy Fields, Sekinchan, Sabak Bernam

Kedah isn’t the only place popular for paddy fields. Did you know that Sabak Bernam is also popular for its beautiful paddy fields? 

There is nothing more relaxing than enjoying the view of the paddy field on a much-needed escape from a hectic lifestyle in the city. Despite being a paddy field, there are many activities that you can enjoy here such as picture-taking, visit a bake shop which sells traditional Chinese light food such as biscuits, crackers, snacks, and traditional baked goodies such as pineapple tarts, kuih kapit and kuih bangkit (tapioca cookies). You can also visit the Paddy Gallery to learn about seed planting and the process of harvesting rice.

2. Selangor River Dam, Hulu Selangor

If you have some free time, you can stop by at Sungai Selangor Dam because it is one of the interesting destinations especially to nature lovers and photographers where you can enjoy the natural environment with a lake which is crystal-clear and take pictures of the beautiful scenery of the hills. 

Not only that, there are also fishing and cycling activities along the way here. If you stop by at night, you can enjoy stargaze while relaxing with your family and friends.

3. Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, Kuala Langat

Enjoy reveling in a peaceful and quiet environment? You will love visiting Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands as this place will allow you to enjoy the natural environment; filled with trees, large fields and natural plants such as water lilies. 

Apart from the flora, the fauna resides here too. Home to more than 300 species of animals, including birds -- it is  a haven for those who enjoy bird-watching. You can also engage in the activity of animal feeding, but it will not be your usual furry friends. You will get to feed rhinos, crocodiles and fishes! Speaking of fish, you can also go fishing alongside cycling, kayaking, jungle trekking and many more. 

Other unique activities include the Safari Insta-Tour, which is a 45-minute ride on a truck to three scenic locations: Bamboo Trail, Lake Sendayan and Rumah Melayu.

4. Pulau Ketam, Klang

Who knew there was a beach in Klang? Well, visitors to Pulau Ketam can enjoy the peaceful surrounding of the beach and carry out exciting activities with friends and family. 

However, to reach Pulau Ketam, you will need to get onboard a ferry (RM14 two-way per person) or a speed-boat (RM20 two-way per person). The area is a fishing village that is populated by a majority of the Chinese community. It is also famous for its many seafood restaurants serving delicious menus. 

Some of the activities you may enjoy here include renting a bicycle and strolling around the village, taking pictures at mural sites and Chinese temples, enjoy and experience the scenery ambience of a fishing village, and many more.
